The Role of Youth Organizations in the Implementation of the
State Youth Policy in the Republic of Azerbaijan
Abstract
Youth have always played a leading role as a driving force of the country, contributing to the defense of the state, the maintenance of law and order, and ensuring security. In the Republic of Azerbaijan, where the proportion of youth in the population is steadily increasing, youth policy holds special significance as one of the state's priority directions. As a component of social policy, youth policy is a system of measures that ensures the participation of young people in all spheres of society and the effective utilization of their potential. This article analyzes the activities of local and international youth organizations, which are the main participants in the youth policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as their implementation mechanisms. The state's attitude toward and support for youth organizations is specifically highlighted. The aim of the study is to determine the influence of youth organizations on state youth policy and youth development, as well as the position they hold within this policy. The study found that youth organizations facilitate the active participation of young people in social processes, enable them to express themselves in society and transform them into active and responsible citizens. Ultimately, these institutions make a significant contribution to the country's social, cultural and economic development, while also supporting the effective implementation of state youth policy.
