The Role of Traditional Education and Technology in a
Hybrid Learning Environment
Abstract
This article explores the interplay between traditional education and technology, examining their advantages and limitations. In the 21st century, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and interactive platforms are becoming integral parts of education. While traditional education offers advantages in terms of live interaction between teachers and students, academic discipline, and the development of social skills, it also has shortcomings such as limited opportunities for personalized learning and standardized approaches.
Technology, on the other hand, makes education more flexible and accessible, providing personalized teaching opportunities through adaptive learning methods and online resources. However, a fully technology-based education can weaken the social and emotional aspects of learning. Therefore, experts emphasize the importance of balancing traditional and technological approaches.
The hybrid education model enables a more effective and flexible learning environment by combining traditional methods with technology. This approach encompasses both direct teacher-student interaction and the interactive capabilities of digital platforms.
In my opinion, the future of education will focus more on hybrid models that combine traditional and digital methods, rather than relying solely on technology. The primary goal is to make technology a tool that serves education and effectively enhances students' knowledge and skills.
