The Role of English in Educational Discourse

Abstract

The importance of English in society is not limited to the economy and business world, but also acts as a primary means of communication between different cultures. The use of this language as a primary means of communication at the global level strengthens the international relations of societies and ensures their closer integration. The use of English in education is also of great importance in countries such as Azerbaijan. The widespread use of this language in the education system not only ensures better integration into the international labor market, but also creates easier access to scientific knowledge and resources. The use of English in education increases the prestige of Azerbaijan's education on a global scale. The adaptation of educational methods to international standards stimulates the application of innovative educational approaches in the country and raises the education system to a more global level. Thus, the role of English in educational discourse and in society in general occupies an important place in the analysis of modern education and language policies. This topic is important from both a scientific and practical point of view and affects the development of policies in the field of education at both the global and local levels.
