The Place of December 31 Solidarity Day in the Context of
National Unity and Global Identity
Abstract
In the twenty-first century, one of the key factors shaping the dynamics of societal development is the issue of maintaining a balance between national and global identity. Globalization, the increasing conditionality of borders, and the rapid advancement of information and communication technologies turn individuals into members of both local and global spaces simultaneously. Under these circumstances, issues of identity and unity for nation-states and peoples become crucial components not only of domestic policy but also of the system of international relations.
