Abstract. This article comprehensively examines the socio-economic conditions, home front activities, and the development of the literary environment in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic during the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945). The study aims to identify the main directions of the economic, social, and cultural activities carried out by the region's population on the home front during the war, as well as to evaluate the role of the literary environment and the periodical press in promoting patriotic ideas. The research is based on a comparative-historical and source analysis of documents from the State Archive of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, periodical press materials, and relevant scholarly literature. The findings reveal that during the war years, the population of Nakhchivan made significant contributions by maintaining agricultural production, allocating financial and material resources to the Defense Fund, providing humanitarian assistance to the front, and mobilizing labor resources. At the same time, the Sharq Gapisi (Eastern Gate) newspaper and the region's literary environment played a significant role in disseminating patriotic ideas, strengthening the moral mobilization of the population, and fostering social solidarity. The findings provide a comprehensive assessment of the socio-economic and cultural dimensions of Nakhchivan's home front activities during the Great Patriotic War.
