Literary and Psychological Analysis of Films in Mustafa Ziyalan’s
Work Alengirli Filmler
Abstract
A film is not only an actor's play that we see on the screen, but also a means of artistic expression of events occurring in real life. It is a window into the inner world of a person. Turkish writer Mustafa Ziyalan's book Alengirli Filmler examines the effects of films on the human mind by highlighting the emotions, memories, and thoughts that arise while watching them. The writer, who has professional experience as a psychiatrist, investigates film scenes based on the behavior, emotions, and relationships of the characters. The writer evaluates films not as technical structures, but as a form of human self-awareness. Thus, Alengirli Filmler reveals the psychological aspects of films and demonstrates how films reflect an individual’s inner world.
