Criminology Characteristics of Terrorism
Abstract
The article analyzes in detail the criminological characteristics of terrorism, its causes, forms of spread and individual characteristics of its perpetrators from a criminological perspective. Currently, terrorism is a serious criminal activity that poses a threat not only locally, but also globally, seriously affecting the stability of society, the security of states, and the psychological state of people.
Studies show that the factors leading to the emergence and development of terrorism include socio-economic inequality, political instability, legal nihilism, religious intolerance and ethnic conflicts. It is important to implement criminological preventive measures aimed at timely detection and elimination of these factors.
Analyses of the age, education, social status, psychological state and past experiences of those who commit terrorist acts show that these individuals are more likely to belong to the lower strata of society, have an aggressive and destructive mindset. Social networks, religious and ideological influences play an important role in their involvement in this crime.
In order to ensure an effective fight against terrorism, in addition to the activities of law enforcement agencies, public awareness, ensuring information security, strengthening the psychological preparation of young people, and the promotion of alternative ideological models that oppose radical ideologies are important factors.
Therefore, the prevention of terrorism requires a comprehensive approach, and the role of criminalistics in this process is undeniable. Future research should be directed at identifying new forms of terrorism, investigating the role of technological means, and taking steps to deepen international cooperation.
