Class Anomalies in Orthodontics: Etiology, Diagnosis, Research
and Treatment Methods
Abstract
Class malocclusions are among the most common types of anomalies encountered in orthodontics and result from various skeletal, dental, and functional factors. This article investigates Class I, II, and III malocclusions based on Angle’s classification, explaining their etiology, diagnosis, and treatment methods. Additionally, the results of a clinical study conducted on 50 patients are presented. Further research should explore the impact of genetic and environmental factors on class malocclusions in greater depth and evaluate the long-term effectiveness of treatment methods. Broader studies are needed to improve the prevention and early detection of orthodontic anomalies.
