Basic Principles of Physical Measurement Values in Metrology
Abstract
The article discusses the principles of the standard of a unit of physical quantity in the modern era, the updating and maintenance of the unit and schemes for checking its dimensions, the construction of the standard and the level of development of measuring technology. The methodlogical foundations and characteristics of harmonizing the accuracy of a unit of physical quantity in our country with the original standard and with state standards of other countries according to the level of the latest achievements of science and technology are presented. It is shown that metrology is a complex scientific activity, including mathematical, physical and technical aspects of measurements, as well as problems of ensuring a given accuracy, and meets the necessary requirements of both theoretical, legislative and applied metrology in its field of application. On the basis of ensuring the uniformity of measurements, the need to express its results in known units, clarify them using standards and determine their errors with a given probability was also studied.
