Application of Water-Saving Technology in Furrow Irrigation of

Cotton Growing

Abstract

As is known, in order to improve sprinkling technologies, many studies are carried out to measure the rate of water absorption into the soil, the rate of penetration and sedimentation of drops, as well as the timing and uniformity of distribution of soil moisture. The aim is to justify the use of water-saving technologies taking into account these parameters and indicators in the study of optimal elements of cotton irrigation for the application of water-saving methods using a polymer-polymer complex.

The reclamation of irrigated lands, improvement of soil fertility, efficient use of existing water resources under water scarcity conditions, and the formation of additional water sources are among the main objectives. In this regard, conducting scientific research on water scarcity, water-saving irrigation technologies, and the improvement of land reclamation through intensive methods, as well as the nationwide implementation of water-efficient cotton cultivation technologies, are of great importance. A water-saving irrigation technology was applied to furrow irrigation of cotton. It was determined that this efficient irrigation method led to an increase in soil moisture, porous irrigation regime, seasonal water norms, nutrients in the soil, planting density, porous growth, plant development, and quality indicators of productivity.
