The Role of Education in the Formation of Personality

Abstract. This article analyzes the role of education in personality formation through the IMRAD structure. The aim is to demonstrate that education performs a function far broader than the transmission of knowledge and serves as a core mechanism in the development of moral values, social behavior patterns, critical thinking, and civic identity. The study uses qualitative document analysis based on classical pedagogical and psychological sources. The findings indicate that personality development depends not only on curriculum content but also on teacher-student relationships, family-school cooperation, the democratic nature of the learning environment, and the organization of social experiences. Education significantly influences self-awareness, responsibility, cooperation, and tolerance. The article also explores current challenges created by digitalization, social media, inequality, and value crises, and proposes practical solutions for strengthening personality-oriented education.
