The Role of Artificial Intelligence in English

Abstract. In the modern era, the rapid development of information technologies has led to significant innovations in the field of education. In particular, the application of artificial intelligence technologies has created new opportunities in foreign language teaching and has made the process of teaching English more effective, interactive, and personalized. Artificial intelligence-based platforms and applications play an important role in improving students’ language skills. Through these technologies, students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities are developed more systematically while taking into account their individual needs and learning levels.
The study also examines several challenges arising from the implementation of artificial intelligence in education. These include the lack of technological equipment, low levels of digital literacy, difficulties faced by teachers in adapting to new technologies, and ethical issues. At the same time, it is emphasized that when used properly, artificial intelligence can significantly contribute to improving the quality of education, enhancing students’ academic performance, and creating a modern educational environment.
The expansion of artificial intelligence technologies in modern educational institutions contributes to the development of students’ language skills and increases global communication opportunities.
