The Importance of Developing Reading Skills in Mastering the English Language
Abstract
It is well known that in the modern era, English is the dominant language, and the teaching of this language—namely, English—is given priority in foreign language education.
When teaching English, it is important to master four basic skills and abilities. These skills and abilities—writing, reading, speaking, and listening—are integral components of foreign language teaching.
This article also discusses the acquisition of reading skills and the development of reading habits and abilities in the teaching of a foreign language.
