The Formation of Resource Potential and Mechanisms for
its Effective Management
Abstract
In order to ensure sustainable development and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, it is essential to understand the theoretical and practical foundations of the formation of resource potential and the mechanisms for its effective management. Comprehensive knowledge in this field allows enterprises to rationally organize their production, financial, human, and innovation resources and to adapt more effectively to changes in the internal and external business environment. The formation of resource potential requires a systematic assessment of available resources, identification of strengths and weaknesses, and the development of appropriate management strategies aimed at long-term efficiency.
Effective management of resource potential involves the application of modern analytical, evaluation, and classification methods that enable enterprises to optimize resource allocation and improve operational performance. The article reviews key approaches to assessing and managing resource potential, emphasizing the role of strategic planning and control mechanisms in achieving economic stability. The analysis shows that inefficient use of resources and the absence of a coherent management mechanism often lead to financial instability and reduced competitiveness of enterprises, regardless of their ownership form.
In the context of the Republic of Azerbaijan, certain challenges arise in the formation and management of resource potential due to structural imbalances, limited access to modern management tools, and insufficient integration of innovative practices. Identifying and analyzing these problems is crucial for improving management effectiveness. While traditional planning focuses on short-term resource utilization, effective resource potential management acts as a comprehensive management approach that ensures optimal use, development, and renewal of resources. International experience demonstrates that special attention to resource potential management significantly contributes to improving enterprise performance and achieving sustainable economic growth.
