Gas Turbine Units Used in Thermal Power Plants (GTPP)
Abstract
The work of various gas-turbine units used in thermal power plants was studied. Since the 1930s, combined heat and power generation has been developed in our country. Thus, providing industrial enterprises and public utilities with combined heat and power is one of the urgent issues. Such plants that produce combined heat and power are being created – thermal power plants (CHPs). As a result of the acceleration of scientific and technical progress on a global scale, the efficient management of CHPs has become one of the main conditions for the sustainability of the national economy. In the economic development strategy of Azerbaijan, the effective study and application of CHPs come to the fore as one of the important priority directions. The relevance of the scientific work lies in the fact that the correct assessment and application of CHPs against the background of global energy and economic processes is one of the main factors of sustainable development. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of CHPs in our country, identify existing problems and determine ways to increase their efficiency.
