Directions for Accelerating and Enhancing the Integration of SEZs Into the International Economic System

Abstract

The acceleration and enhancement of the integration of Free Economic Zones (FEZs) into the international economic system are of great importance in terms of increasing the competitiveness of national economies, attracting foreign investment, and promoting innovative development. In addition to serving as a platform for expanding foreign economic relations, FEZs support processes such as the modernization of production, technology transfer, and the development of export-oriented industries.

For the effective implementation of this integration process, the main directions include connection to international trade networks, optimization of customs and tax incentives, improvement of logistics and transport infrastructure, expansion of digital trade opportunities, and harmonization of the legal and regulatory framework with international standards.

At the same time, strengthening cooperation with regional and global organizations, developing human capital, and creating innovative ecosystems can ensure the effective integration of FEZs into the world economy. These approaches enable SEZs to achieve their goals of economic growth, technological progress, and sustainable development more rapidly and efficiently.
