Degree of Social Danger of Corruption Crimes and Impact on Society
Abstract
Corruption crimes are serious and widespread violations of law due to their level of social danger. These crimes slow down economic development, reduce transparency and public trust in the activities of state bodies, and also deepen social injustice and inequality, strengthening the atmosphere of discontent in society. The spread of corruption, in addition to weakening the efficiency of state administration, has a negative impact on the principles of a legal state, human rights and democratic institutions. In order to prevent such crimes, it is necessary to strengthen legal, institutional and public control mechanisms. Alongside legal measures, public oversight, transparency, and civic engagement play a significant role in the fight against corruption. At the same time, educating the younger generation, promoting ethical values, and implementing e-government technologies yield important results in this area. International cooperation against corruption and the application of global best practices also contribute to effective efforts. Only through comprehensive and continuous measures is it possible to reduce the social threat level of corruption and build a lawful and just society.
