Theoretical Analysis of the Multifaceted Structure of Digital Culture:
Mosaic, Pixel and Multifractal Culture
Abstract
The article conducts scientific and theoretical research on the transformation of the socio-cultural environment of the modern era: mosaic, pixel and multifractal culture, describes the complexity and dynamic interaction of cultural elements within society.
Also, the emergence and characteristics of multifractal culture formed under the influence of digital technology are explained. The author noted that the polystylistic system arises from the mutual inculturation of previously isolated local cultures as a result of radical changes in modern culture. In polystylistic culture, the principle of systematicity and hierarchy of cultural phenomena is violated, and new forms of communication arise between the cultural subsystems themselves. Because polystylistic culture was formed under the influence of the transition from industrial to post-industrial development, which is expressed in the processes of globalization and informatization of the entire socio-cultural sphere. The transformation of culture has occurred throughout human history. Russian sociologist Leonid Grigorievich Ionin states that it consists of a transition from a hierarchical monostylistic model to a disordered polystylistic cultural model.
As a result, a tendency to “virtualize” social processes and events, parallel to informatization, begins to emerge, and a transition of a person from real life to virtual life is formed.
