The Role of Mobile Applications in Learning Foreign Languages
Abstract
In the modern era, the rapid advancement of technology has had a significant impact on the language-learning process. In particular, mobile applications have ushered in a new era of language instruction by offering foreign language learners accessible, interactive, and personalized learning opportunities. This article aims to scientifically analyze the role of various types of mobile applications in foreign language acquisition. The paper classifies language-learning apps, examines their use across different age categories, and explores the benefits they offer in detail. The study evaluates the pedagogical potential of applications targeting various language skills—vocabulary acquisition, grammar improvement, pronunciation development, listening, and speaking.
