The Question of Ethics in Light of the Artificial Intelligence Revolution

Abstract

Between the inevitability of artificial intelligence and its necessity, everyone agrees on the great importance and benefits that technology in general and artificial intelligence in particular have provided to serve humans, but what may differ over it is the negative uses of a some of artificial intelligence technologies and the various threats that these technologies can pose to human life and their future. Do humans have the ability to formulate an ethical policy that ensures the proper use of artificial intelligence technologies?

The aim of this research paper is to shed light on artificial intelligence, its concept and features, while defining some of its capabilities and potentials, with a greater focus on the effects that artificial intelligence has on the field of values, especially with the growing difference in views about it between those who see in it the ruin of the world and those who see in it reasons for well-being and prosperity and a new path towards human development and progress. Has artificial intelligence really achieved this?
