The Place and Role of Uzeyir Hajibeyli in the
Cultural History of Azerbaijan
Abstract
The article attempts to shed more light on the work of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, an Azerbaijani composer, a prominent teacher-scientist, a composer who created the rarest pearls of Azerbaijani musical art. Hajibeyli left an indelible mark not only on Azerbaijani musical art, but also on his composer's music.
Composer is also one of the people who played a special role in the development of Azerbaijani public opinion. The work of the composer does not end with music alone. His work covers a wider range. Although the composer's work was limited in scope during the Soviet era, the great composer did great work for the development of Azerbaijani culture and Azerbaijani public opinion.
