The Influence of Family Relationships on A Child's Personality
During Preschool
Abstract
The formation of a child's personality is based on the early stages of life, especially the preschool age. This age stage is an important stage in which the child goes through a period of frequent emotional changes and begins to recognize himself and his surroundings. During this period, the role of the family, especially parents, in the development of the child is indispensable. Parent-child relationships form the basis of upbringing during this age period. The love and attention of the parent have a profound effect on the child's emotional centers and shape his inner world.
The formation of a child's personality is based on communication with parents. Through these dialogues, the child gains initial ideas about morality, labor and spiritual values. If parents are indifferent to the child's desires and do not take into account his individual characteristics, this leads to negative consequences. The correct approach of the parent creates the basis for the formation of the child's moral thinking and his future growth as a strong personality in society. Children develop the examples they receive from their parents in the kindergarten and school environment. Relationships with parents also play a decisive role in their future formation as a woman or a man.
