The Impact of Exercise, Nutrition, and Sleep on Mental Health
Abstract
In modern times, mental health has come to the fore as one of the important indicators of the general well-being of society. Lifestyle factors – especially exercise, nutrition, and sleep patterns – play an important role in maintaining and improving mental health. Studies show that regular physical activity is effective not only for physical health, but also in reducing stress, preventing depression, and anxiety. Exercise creates mental stability and emotional balance by increasing the levels of neurotransmitters – especially serotonin and endorphins. At the same time, a balanced and nutrient-rich diet directly affects the functional activity of the brain and emotional state. Substances such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B complex, and magnesium not only support brain functions, but also improve mood. Sleep, the third key factor for mental health, plays an important role in restoring the nervous system, strengthening memory, and emotional regulation. Sleep disorders are often accompanied by stress, depression, and attention disorders.
