The Experience of Abroad Training and Its Conditions for Scientific
Research Completion Among PhD Students in Algerian Universities:
Decision No. 379 Dated April 5, 2017, and Its Requirements
Abstract
Success in the PhD competition and enrollment in third-cycle specialized studies (LMD system) is among the dreams and aspirations pursued by PhD students. However, during their doctoral studies and scientific research endeavors, they face numerous challenges, including overseas training and securing funding from the university.
The findings of this study highlight the importance of collaboration between research institutions in Algerian universities and various foreign universities in facilitating the research journey for PhD students. However, several gaps or obstacles, both internal and external, continues. These include high living costs, issues with individual accommodation (rent), the rising costs of research and publication in conferences, and the lack of acceptance of researchers without agreements or official invitations.
