Modern Technological Applications in the Propulsion and Steering Systems
of DP Vessels
Abstract
This article investigates the modern technological applications of dynamic positioning (DP) systems in the motion and steering complexes of ships. DP systems offer technological solutions that automate ship control, enable high-precision positioning, and optimize vessel movements in marine environments. Motion and steering complexes operate in conjunction with DP systems to enhance navigational accuracy and operational safety by providing regulation, monitoring, and stable maneuverability under various environmental conditions. The article discusses the implementation of these systems, their advantages, and the challenges encountered during operation, while also presenting potential directions for future development.
