Azerbaijan's Position in Turkey-Israel Relations

Abstract

Turkey and Israel's relations date back to the 15th century. The Jews sought help from the Ottomans to defend their existence. Official relations began with Turkey's recognition of Israel's independence. Diplomatic relations have weakened over time, and then reconciliation has occurred. Relations between the two countries have reached a strategic level from the political, economic, and military levels after the Cold War. One of the reasons for this was the Gulf conflict in the Middle East. The military alliance between the two countries has never been used as a threat to a third country.
