In the modern system of international relations, the influence and authority of states are closely connected with their international image. The development of the global information environment has created new opportunities for states to shape their communication and diplomatic strategies in innovative directions. In this context, strategic communication and nation branding are considered important elements of modern diplomacy. This article analyzes the formation and development of Azerbaijan’s international image policy. In particular, the influence of media, public diplomacy, and soft power factors on the country’s global image is examined. At the same time, the role of Azerbaijan’s participation in international events and its communication policy in increasing diplomatic prestige is evaluated.
