View on the category of case in English
Summary
The article deals with the notion of the Category of Case in English. Different definitions put forward by the scientists researching this field in English are analyzed, and it is pointed out that Common Case and Possessive Case are reflected by the opposition of 0/-‘s. After brief information about the history of category of Case in English, the use of morpheme “-‘s” and its peculiarities become focus of attention in the article.
